A sleep technologist works under the general supervision of the medical director or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in-center and home sleep apnea testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care, and direct patient education. A sleep technologist is credentialed in sleep technology and is able to provide oversight of other sleep center staff. Technicians and trainees work under the direct supervision of the credentialed sleep technologist or the medical director.
Job Description
We are looking to hire a motivated, responsible individual to work full-time, 3 nights per week.
Duties include:
- Recognizing when PAP therapy is needed and appropriately titrating each patient to their individual breathing requirements
- Scoring, staging, marking, and recording all types of events and necessary information in the polysomnogram
- Obtaining patient medical and sleep-related history & information in both verbal and written form and documenting accordingly
- Preparing written reports containing all necessary information regarding sleep study and patient information
- Practicing professional and genial communication skills throughout patient’s entire duration in the sleep lab
- Applying specific methods to properly clean various equipment used during night

Qualifications/Licensure:
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
- Oregon State License
- CPR/BLS
